A recent reader review from the
Amazon.com website:

Aubrey's Journey is an honest and heart-felt look into
a mother's struggle to attempt to discover why her
daughter does not seem to exhibit the same personality
and communication traits that children her age are
expected to. It follows both of their efforts to seek help
through the obstructions of countless doctors and
therapists who either ignore the root of the problem or give
the canned 'it's just a phase' response.

The style this true story is written in gives the reader direct
access to all the thoughts, trepidations, and struggles that
Aubrey's mother experiences throughout the voyage. The
style is an intriguing blend of almost journal-like entries of
the mother's perspective of Aubrey's accounts as well as
the third person narrative of the story. This unique style
gives the reader insight into the 'raw' emotion that all the
characters experience and never keeps you guessing
'what are they really thinking?'

Aubrey's Journey is a must have for anyone who has
someone in their family, or knows someone, with troubling
behavioral difficulties as well as those that are just
passionate or curious about the 'human condition.'
